Rod, a former cub scout, remembers the best thing about scouting as a child was the annual Pine Wood Derby races. The downside was being 10 years old and not being trusted by his old man to pick up a saw. Hence, Rod never lent so much as a finger in the making of his cars.
The Rod Ryan Morning Wood Derby is Rod's revenge. Adults will be given to chance they never had as a child to actually "build" their own car and compete against other adults in the region.
